They’ll leave the light on for you: Fourth Grade science project
April 16, 2019
As part of their unit on electricity, Fourth Grade science students created a city block of tiny houses, then created the circuits to light a front porch light on each house. The whole power grid connects to batteries that are charged by solar panels right in the classroom windows. The entire little city is just like our City of Aspen, entirely powered by renewable fuel sources (46% hydroelectric, 53% wind power, 1% landfill gas). See the video of the Fourth Grade’s solar-powered electric grid!
