Originally from Edmonds, Washington, Steven arrived in Aspen in 2012. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Seattle Pacific University. He started at ACDS as a bus driver and cook in the dining hall and has since been working in operations and overseeing transportation.
What ACDS core value is most meaningful to you, and why?
Character – I think it informs and builds the foundation for each of the four other core values.
Favorite Aspen Country Day School tradition?
Outdoor Ed trips are my favorite because they provide a massive amount of education, experience and life skills to kids and adults. They’re skills that can be hard to acquire in most other parts of our modern life.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
“No one can do all the different jobs you do here.”
Favorite place in the world?
Probably the top of Highland Bowl – the views, the serenity and the ski options are incredible.
Hidden talent or special skill?
I can shake my eyeballs.
