Mary Frances grew up in Houston, Texas, and skied with Power Pandas at Buttermilk when she was a child. She studied undergrad at CU Boulder and earned a master’s in elementary education from Vanderbilt University. She moved to Aspen after college and has worked at ACDS as a PreK assistant, Third and Fourth Grade teacher, and she also taught technology.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
While traveling in Spain over the summer, two different Spaniards complimented me on my Spanish accent — a bar tender and a shop owner!
Your favorite place in the world?
Anywhere in the Mediterranean.
Hidden talent or special skill?
I’m an accomplished sailor and used to race 420s and FJs in high school and college.
Favorite way to spend a weekend or day off?
I’d start the day with pilates, followed by a mountain bike ride, and end it by making dinner for friends.
