Katie Hill is originally from Duluth, Georgia, and moved to Aspen after college in 2003 for one summer before quickly figuring out she didn’t want to leave. She has Bachelors’ of Science degrees in Psychology and Sociology and has been working as an early childhood teacher since 2007.
Which ACDS core values is most meaningful to you, and why?
Respect. Every student’s voice should be heard and valued even if it is different than your own. PreK teachers work hard with our youngest learners teaching social/emotional skills in the hope it will make a lasting impact.
Favorite way to spend a weekend or day off?
Going on a hike or cross country ski followed by a picnic.
Bucket-list travel destination?
I was actually fortunate enough to recently go to my bucket-list travel destination. My husband and I traveled around Thailand for a couple weeks and then Tokyo a few days. Next up is Spain or Argentina.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
Flying, so I could get anywhere fast!
