Meet our School Resource Officer
February 1, 2024
Aspen Country Day School is fortunate to have a member of the Pitkin County Sheriff’s department here on campus to help keep everyone safe. Meet him here!
Hello! My name is Dru Lucchesi, and I am thrilled to join the School Resource Officer (SRO) team alongside Deputy Cameron Daniel and Officer Alyse Vollmer.
Though I was born in California, I moved to Aspen when I was just one year old and have considered this special community my home ever since. I graduated from Aspen Elementary in 1999, attended Aspen Middle School for one year, and discovered my passion while playing Aspen Junior Hockey. When my family moved to Denver in 2000, I attended Cherry Creek High School, then Colorado State University where I majored in Economics.
Following college graduation, I returned to Aspen in 2012 and immediately began my coaching career with the Aspen High School ice hockey team. I coached the AHS Skiers for eight years before committing full-time to the Pitkin County Sheriff’s department in 2020.
I feel fortunate to have reached a place in my career where I’m able to merge my passion for law enforcement with my passion for youth mentorship. As a former coach, I hope to weave character development into my daily interactions with the students; as a Deputy and father, I plan to contribute to the common goal of school safety.
I sincerely look forward to meeting you all! Alongside Deputy Daniel and Officer Vollmer, I am committed to continuing the great work they have already created at Aspen Country Day and Aspen Community School. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at dru.lucchesi@pitkinsheriff.com. Thank you!
