Outdoor Education

Too many children grow up without a connection to nature or place. At Aspen Country Day School, we believe there is no classroom quite like the outdoors — for planting the childhood roots of adult happiness and for raising the next generation of environmentally aware citizens.

Aspen Country Day School is a national leader in outdoor education. Growing up in the mountains, children become competent and experienced campers, mountain bikers, hikers, skiers, climbers, and paddlers. They practice the habits of expedition behavior to deepen their understanding the school’s core values of character, respect, responsibility, and perseverance.
