How the world works: Economics Fair 2023

What makes the world go round? That’s what Second Graders want to know. They have a natural curiosity about how things work, and that inquisitiveness powers one of the most exciting projects of the year in Lower School, the Economics Fair. Students have spent weeks creating their own businesses, designing and manufacturing products, deciding whether to take out loans or rely on their classroom “paychecks” to finance their startups. Some even made commercials for the products. Everything culminates in the Economics Fair right before spring break. Active, project-based learning at Aspen Country Day School gives students many ways demonstrate their knowledge and insights. Enjoy!
