John Konstantopoulos grew up in Sarasota, Florida, and earned his B.A. from the University of Central Florida. After college, he spent two years living in a van and traveling until he found his home in the Roaring Fork Valley. Prior to joining ACDS as the Middle School Theatre teacher, John worked as a teaching artist, director, and music director with performing arts organizations throughout the valley.
Which ACDS core value is most meaningful to you, and why?
Community. Because I have learned that all great accomplishments happen through teamwork.
What led you to a career in education?
Teaching piano to make my way through college really inspired me to become an educator.
What energizes you?
Spending a beautiful Colorado day in a dark theater.
Hidden talent or special skill?
I play the classical upright bass.
