Holland Filliettaz moved to Aspen in 2025 after spending much of her nearly 20-year teaching career in Los Angeles. Originally from Connecticut, she earned her undergraduate degree from Denison University and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Colorado Boulder. Holland brings extensive classroom experience and a longtime love of working with elementary-aged students to ACDS.
Which ACDS core value is most meaningful to you, and why?
Character is important because it shapes who you are when no one is watching. It influences your choices, how you treat people, and how you respond when life becomes difficult.
Your favorite place in the world?
Our large dinner table in Vail: all seats filled with my family that literally lives all over the world.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
That I’m an awesome mom!
